Olamide Inspired My Debut Album' – Victony

Afrobeats artist Anthony Victor, known as Victony, has credited renowned rapper and music executive Olamide with playing a significant role in his career.

Victony, the voice behind 'Soweto,' shared that he initially planned to release an Extended Play (EP) as he felt unprepared for a full album. However, the encouragement from the YBNL boss, Olamide, motivated him to take the plunge and release a complete album.

In a recent interview with Channels TV, Victony expressed his gratitude by giving a shoutout to Olamide on the cover of his debut album 'Stubborn,' acknowledging Olamide's inspiration and support.

He stated, “Shout out to Olamide again. Olamide is basically the reason why I have an album. He encouraged me to go for it. I wanted to put out a smaller body of work like an EP because I didn’t think I was ready for an album but after meeting Olamide and the words of encouragement he gave to me...

“Someone at that level making out time for people in my generation to make sure that we are making the right moves and doing what is necessary for our careers, I had to give him a shoutout to let people know he was part of everything that has to do with my album.”
